First responders were called to the southbound lanes of the interstate on Tuesday, near mile marker 177, where there was a reported crash that closed all thru lanes while police investigated and crews cleared the area.

As of 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 5, the south left lane, right lane, and right shoulder are closed, and the exit ramp was narrowed.

Details about the crash were not released. Delays were estimated at around three miles shortly before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, according to 511 Virginia.
